A large and beautiful Ammonite is the centerpiece of this powerful necklace. There is a thick silver border around the fossil to create a shadowbox look, with a black patina to accentuate the silver and stone.
The back is open so the beautiful iridescent spiral can be seen and felt and there is a "925" silver stamp and a vessel arts logo for authenticity.
The pendant measures 2"x 2" and the chain is an 18" Italian Silver.
The weight of the piece is 41 grams.
Ammonites first appeared in the fossil record 240 million years ago, descending from straight shelled cephalopods. The last lineages disappeared 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous.
